How I Turn Amethelis Into Florin and Florinol
I dry Amethelis, burn Dry Amethelis into Florin gas, condense it into liquid Florinol, and scale only the stage that is actually falling behind.

My Florinol chain starts once the earlier factory is producing Amethelis reliably:
Amethelis
→ Steam Dryer
→ Dry Amethelis
→ burn it
→ Florin gas
→ Condenser
→ liquid Florinol
The mistake that cost me the most time was placing the Condenser before I had given the Florin gas a clean route into it.
If Florinol is already pooling beside the Condenser, I stop touching the chemistry. At that point the production chain works, and I troubleshoot the liquid route or whatever system is consuming Florinol next.
Florin was the point where my factory stopped behaving like one long conveyor problem.
Amethelis still arrives as a normal material, but after that the same resource chain keeps changing state:
solid Amethelis
→ Dry Amethelis
→ Florin gas
→ liquid Florinol.
That matters because every stage fails differently.
If Amethelis is piling up, I have one problem.
If Florin is trapped in the wrong chamber, I have another.
If Florinol is already sitting in a pool beside the Condenser, the chemistry is finished and the problem is somewhere downstream.
The fastest way I found to fix this line was to stop calling every slowdown a production shortage and instead identify the first state that stops moving.
I Process the Amethelis I Already Have Before Expanding Flowers
By the time I start the Florin chain, I want my earlier flower system producing Amethelis consistently.
If it is not, I fix the actual flower farming setup before building a larger chemistry section.
Once Amethelis is arriving, I do not immediately add more Planter Boxes.
I watch what the existing line does.
If Amethelis keeps disappearing into the next stage, more upstream production may eventually help.
If Amethelis is already filling storage faster than I can process it, adding more flowers solves nothing.
That gives me my first bottleneck check:
Is Amethelis supply actually behind, or is the factory already waiting on the Steam Dryer?
I only expand the flower side when the answer is genuinely “not enough Amethelis.”
The Steam Dryer Turns Amethelis Into Dry Amethelis
The first conversion happens in the Steam Dryer:
Amethelis
→ Dry Amethelis.
The first thing I check here is Steam supply.
I do not rebuild the entire Florin section just because the Dryer has stopped.
If the machine is waiting for Steam, that is a fluid-supply problem.
By this stage I already have Water infrastructure elsewhere in the factory, so I normally branch enough supply into the Dryer rather than designing another independent Water network.
If Steam itself is unstable, I go back to my Pipes, Pumps, and Water setup and fix that system.
Once Dry Amethelis is coming out steadily, I leave the Dryer alone.
Dry Amethelis Is Not Florin Yet
This was an easy state change for me to mentally skip.
The Steam Dryer does not produce Florin.
It produces:
Dry Amethelis.
That material still has to be burned.
Only after burning do I get:
Florin gas.
That sounds simple, but it completely changes how I build the next section.
I am no longer routing a solid item toward another machine.
I am creating a gas that needs somewhere useful to travel.
That means I decide on the gas chamber and Condenser position before I start treating this like another conveyor module.
I Build the Burning Area Around the Gas Route
My first instinct was to think:
put the burning area here, put the Condenser nearby, done.
That layout looked sensible.
It was not.
The missing question was:
Where will the Florin gas actually move after the Dry Amethelis burns?
A Condenser only helps me if the gas can reach it.
So I now think about the section in this order:
Dry Amethelis arrives
→ it burns
→ Florin appears
→ the chamber guides the gas
→ Florin reaches the Condenser.
I do not choose the final Condenser position before I can answer that route.
I Give Florin Gas a Clean Route Before I Place the Condenser
My first Condenser layout taught me this lesson the hard way.
I already had:
- Dry Amethelis
- a working burn section
- visible Florin gas
- a Condenser nearby
and yet Florinol production was not behaving properly.
The problem was not the Condenser.
The Florin gas had a poor route into it.
I stopped trying to preserve the original layout and moved the Condenser to where the gas could actually reach it.
The rule I use now is:
Design the Florin route first. Lock in the Condenser second.
This matters more with gas than with a belt.
A stopped conveyor is obvious.
I can see the material sitting still.
A gas section can look busy while the Florin is spreading through the wrong space and barely reaching the machine that needs it.
I Do Not Add Another Condenser Until Florin Reaches the First One
If Florinol production looks slow, I first ask:
Is Florin actually reaching the Condenser?
If the answer is no, another Condenser is the wrong purchase.
I would just be duplicating a machine that has no usable input.
If Florin is visibly reaching the first Condenser and accumulating faster than it can be processed, that is different.
Now I have a real capacity bottleneck.
That is when more Condenser throughput starts making sense.
That one distinction prevents a lot of pointless expansion.
The Condenser Turns Florin Gas Into Liquid Florinol
Once Florin reaches the machine properly, the next state change is straightforward:
Florin gas
→ Condenser
→ Florinol.
Florinol is a liquid.
This is also where my troubleshooting changes again.
Before the Condenser, I care about:
gas movement.
After the Condenser, I care about:
fluid movement.
If Florinol is visibly appearing, I stop rebuilding the Dryer or burn chamber.
Those stages already did their job.
I Prove One Complete Florinol Chain Before I Scale It
I deliberately keep the first successful setup small enough that I can understand it.
I want to watch one complete chain:
Amethelis arrives
→ Steam Dryer produces Dry Amethelis
→ Dry Amethelis burns
→ Florin reaches the Condenser
→ liquid Florinol appears.
If all five steps happen, the design is valid.
Only then do I think about increasing throughput.
That is especially important because a bad gas layout is easy to copy.
If I duplicate a broken Condenser section three times, I do not have three times the production.
I have three copies of the same routing mistake.
I Move Florinol With Pumps Instead of Treating It Like a Belt Material
Once the Condenser gives me Florinol, I switch completely into fluid logistics.
Florinol does not belong on the conveyor logic I used earlier in the chain.
I collect it somewhere controlled and move it with Pumps.
This gives me one of the most useful diagnostic situations in the whole chain.
If I see:
Florinol sitting beside the Condenser
but:
the destination stays empty
then I already know:
- Amethelis supply worked
- Steam drying worked
- burning worked
- Florin routing worked
- condensation worked
I do not touch those systems.
The failure is downstream.
That saves me from rebuilding five working stages to fix one bad Pump route.
I Give Florinol Somewhere to Collect Before I Increase Throughput
I do not want the first usable Florinol appearing in a cramped space with nowhere obvious to go.
Before I scale the chemistry, I make sure the liquid has:
a collection area
and:
a controlled Pump route.
This is especially important because increasing upstream throughput can make a small liquid-handling mistake much worse.
If Florinol already has nowhere to go, doubling Florin production only creates a larger pool.
So before I duplicate the Dryer or Condenser, I ask:
Can the current Florinol output actually leave this area cleanly?
If not, I fix the liquid logistics first.
I Let the Working Florinol Line Run Instead of Constantly Rebuilding It
Once the entire chain is stable, I am happy to let it run.
I do not need to redesign the factory every time another progression objective appears.
At this point I already have:
Amethelis
→ Dry Amethelis
→ Florin
→ Florinol
moving automatically.
That is the important achievement of this page.
When later progression asks for a large quantity of Florinol, I want this system to be boring.
I want to be able to leave it alone, explore, work on another section, and return to more Florinol than I had before.
If I am still manually rescuing the line every few minutes, I have not finished this production problem yet.
I Scale the Stage Where Material Is Actually Accumulating
Once the chain works, I decide where to expand by watching what builds up.
If Amethelis piles up before the Steam Dryer:
→ drying throughput is behind.
If Dry Amethelis piles up before the burn section:
→ burning is behind.
If Florin gas keeps filling the chamber faster than it disappears:
→ condensation is behind.
If Florinol keeps pooling beside the Condenser:
→ the chemistry is finished and fluid transport is behind.
That is the logic I use.
I do not increase every machine at the same time.
I scale the first stage that cannot clear its input.
If Amethelis Is Piling Up, I Add Drying Capacity Before More Flowers
This is a particularly easy mistake.
I see huge amounts of Amethelis and think:
great, my flower factory is strong.
That may be true.
But if the Steam Dryer cannot keep up, more Amethelis has zero value.
So when Amethelis storage is already overflowing, I do not expand the flower line.
I first improve:
Steam availability
or:
Steam Dryer throughput.
The upstream producer is not the bottleneck when its output is already waiting.
If Dry Amethelis Is Piling Up, I Fix the Burn Stage
A healthy Steam Dryer can expose the next weak point.
If Dry Amethelis starts accumulating faster than I can burn it, I stop thinking about the Dryer.
It is doing its job.
Now I look at:
- where Dry Amethelis enters the burn area
- whether the burn zone can handle the volume
- whether the resulting Florin has enough room to move
This is why I like diagnosing by state.
The pile itself tells me which conversion succeeded.
If Florin Is Building Up, I Inspect Condensation Capacity
Florin accumulating in the gas chamber is different from Florin failing to reach the Condenser.
If the gas is clearly reaching the correct area but keeps building up faster than it can be converted, I now have evidence that condensation is the bottleneck.
That is when another Condenser or a better arrangement can help.
I make that change only after I have proved the route itself is good.
If Florinol Is Piling Up, I Stop Expanding This Page’s Production Chain
This is my cleanest handoff point.
If Florinol is already accumulating reliably, then:
Amethelis → Florinol works.
I do not keep adding Steam Dryers and Condensers just because a later system is consuming the liquid slowly.
At that point the question has changed.
If I am trying to satisfy the Tier 5 gate and it still will not unlock, I check the separate Tier 5 and Anomaly requirements.
If Tier 5 is already open and I am trying to turn that Florinol into large-scale electrical capacity, I move to my batteries and Steam Turbines setup.
Those are different problems.
I leave the Florinol chemistry alone unless it actually stops supplying them.
I Do Not Chase the Electrical Bottleneck From the Condenser Room
This is the biggest change in how I treat the late game.
A low Energy total does not automatically mean:
make more Florinol.
If I can see Florinol accumulating, then producing even more liquid may do nothing.
The electrical system could instead be limited by:
- storage
- Power Bricks
- Energy transfer
- Steam generation
- or another downstream Energy component
I do not troubleshoot those by touching the Condenser.
Florinol production has one job:
deliver a reliable liquid supply.
Once it does that, I let the next Owner system solve the next bottleneck.
The Florinol Troubleshooting Order I Use
When this production line stops, I check it from the beginning.
Is Amethelis arriving?
If not, I go upstream.
Is the Steam Dryer receiving Steam?
If not, I fix the fluid supply.
Is Dry Amethelis leaving the Dryer?
If yes, the first conversion works.
Is Dry Amethelis actually being burned?
If not, I fix the burn stage.
Is Florin gas appearing?
If yes, burning works.
Is Florin reaching the Condenser?
If not, I redesign the gas route.
Is the Condenser producing liquid Florinol?
If yes, the chemistry works.
Is Florinol leaving the collection area?
If not, I fix the Pump or fluid route.
That sequence tells me exactly where to stop troubleshooting.
I do not touch stages that have already proved they work.
The Production Route I Keep in My Head
The entire chain I need from this page is:
Amethelis
→ Steam Dryer
→ Dry Amethelis
→ burn
→ Florin gas
→ give Florin a clean route
→ Condenser
→ liquid Florinol
→ collect it
→ Pump it toward the next system.
The two checks that save me the most wasted rebuilding are simple:
Dry Amethelis still has to be burned before I have Florin
and:
a Condenser cannot process Florin gas that never reaches it.
Once Florinol is flowing reliably, I consider this production problem solved.
I only come back when this chain itself becomes the bottleneck again.
