How I Solve the Clown Casino Buttons and Three Levers
My route through Clown Casino when the pressure buttons, three levers, Bubble Gun, locked doors, and Giggle Coaster stop the main progression.
Updated:
Quick Answer
The Clown Casino progression I use is:
enter Gamblin’ Hall
→ solve the first pressure-button gate
→ activate the first lever
→ continue to the second button section
→ pick up the Bubble Gun
→ push through the later Casino rooms
→ get the key for the Giggle Coaster route
→ use the explosive tools to open the blocked paths
→ return to the coaster
→ finish all 3 levers
→ collect the Twisted Token from the clown
The most useful progress check is not how many rooms I have explored.
It is how many of the three levers I have activated.
Clown Casino was easier for me once I stopped treating every locked door as a separate puzzle.
Most of the level belongs to one larger progression chain.
I enter the Gamblin’ Hall, see the Twisted Token early, and then spend the rest of the area opening the routes required to reach it.
The game gives away the final objective before I can complete it:
the token is in the clown’s mouth.
Seeing it does not mean I have missed a jump.
I am simply too early.
The real job is to work through the pressure-button routes and activate all three levers.
Enter Clown Casino Through Nipples Bridge
I reach Clown Casino after finishing the Mermaid Palace and Sewer progression, returning to the Lobby, and gaining the movement needed for the next route.
From the Lobby I cross Nipples Bridge and enter the Gamblin’ Hall.
There are restricted doors around this part of the game that still cannot be opened on the first playthrough.
I do not use those as progression markers.
If a door is clearly part of the restricted-door system, I leave it alone and focus on the active Casino mechanisms instead.
That distinction becomes even clearer after finishing the game, when Adventure Plus explicitly opens the restricted doors.
For my first Clown Casino clear, they are not the problem I need to solve.
The Token in the Clown’s Mouth Is the End Goal
Very early in the Casino I can identify the Twisted Token objective.
The game points me toward the token in the clown’s mouth.
That is useful because it tells me exactly what the three-lever puzzle is working toward.
I do not repeatedly return to the clown after every room.
I use the lever progression as my check instead.
If only one part of the mechanism is complete, I know another branch of the Casino is still unfinished.
First Pressure Button — Find Something to Hold It Down
The first clear mechanical blocker is a pressure button.
Standing on it is not enough if I need the route to remain open after I move away.
I look around the reachable Casino rooms for something I can place on the button rather than searching my inventory for a special key.
This is an important distinction.
A button with an obvious weight requirement is telling me:
search the local room and nearby path
not:
leave the entire Casino and find a new progression item.
Once the button stays active, I take the route it opens.
First Lever — Use It as the Progress Check
After opening the first part of the Casino, I reach the first lever.
Activating it changes how I understand the rest of the area.
From that point on, I am no longer wondering whether the clown machine needs some unrelated key.
I now know I am working through a three-lever sequence.
After the first lever, I expect two more.
That is the number I keep in mind while exploring.
If I have only activated one and suddenly find myself back in the Gamblin’ Hall, I am not finished.
Second Pressure Button — Do Not Assume the First Solution Was One-Off
The next section presents another pressure-button problem.
This caught me because I initially expected the Casino to switch to a completely different type of puzzle.
Instead, the game repeats the same basic logic.
I need something placed on the button so that I can move through the route it controls.
I do not run back to the first button and disturb a working setup unless the route specifically forces me to.
I solve the second gate locally and continue forward.
That takes me toward one of the Casino’s most useful pickups.
Pick Up the Bubble Gun
The Bubble Gun appears during this middle section of the Casino.
For me, this pickup is more useful as a progression checkpoint than as a reason to immediately rebuild my entire combat style.
The Bubble Gun is strong when several enemies start creating pressure at once.
But I do not force myself to use it in every encounter just because it is new.
If my current weapon is already solving the fight cleanly, I keep using what works.
When enemies begin clustering or chasing from multiple directions, the Bubble Gun becomes much more attractive.
That matters in Clown Casino because later rooms throw increasingly chaotic groups at me.
Push Through the Combat Route Instead of Returning to the Token
After the Bubble Gun section, the Casino spends a while alternating between fights, story rooms and route changes.
This is where I am most likely to think:
I have been away from the clown machine for a long time. Maybe I should go back.
I do not.
Unless I have completed all three levers, going back to the token does not solve anything.
I keep following the newly opened Casino route.
Eventually I encounter Charlotte again, then continue through the rooms beyond that sequence.
Get the Key Before the Giggle Coaster Section
Later in the Casino I pick up another key.
Shortly afterward, the route identifies the Giggle Coaster section.
If I have reached the middle of Clown Casino but have not found this key, I keep working through the active rooms.
I do not skip forward and assume the coaster itself is broken.
The route is still giving me prerequisites.
Firecrackers Are Worth Keeping for the Later Rooms
The Casino later gives me Firecrackers.
I treat them like grenades: they are useful when enemies are grouped or when a room is becoming expensive to control with ordinary shots.
I do not throw them at isolated enemies just because I have started collecting them.
The later Casino fights are much better places to spend explosives.
The route also starts using explosive interactions more directly.
Use Dice Bombs on the Blocked Doors
One of the later blockers is not a pressure button at all.
Here I use Dice Bombs to open the doors along the route.
This is the point where I stop treating every closed Casino door the same way.
I now separate them into three categories:
- restricted doors that are not part of the first-run solution;
- pressure-button gates;
- doors the current explosive mechanic can open.
That saves a lot of unnecessary backtracking.
If the game has just introduced an explosive interaction and I am staring at a door that looks designed to react to it, I test that mechanic before leaving the area.
The Quack Attacker Is Optional to My Puzzle Logic
I can also find the Quack Attacker, a double-barrel shotgun, during the later Casino route.
I pick it up when I reach it.
But I do not use the weapon pickup as my main completion condition.
The Clown Casino puzzle is still about the three levers.
A new gun tells me I have reached a new section.
It does not tell me the clown machine is finished.
After this part, I drop back toward the Gamblin’ Hall side of the Casino and reconnect with the coaster route.
Ride the Giggle Coaster
Eventually I can properly access the Giggle Coaster.
There are items along the track, but I do not try to turn the ride into a perfect collection run.
My priority is finishing the remaining lever progression.
This is especially important if I am later attempting the under-four-hour achievement.
The Casino can consume a lot of time if I keep re-clearing its earlier rooms instead of using the route the game has just opened.
All Three Levers — Now Return for the Token
My final progress check is explicit:
all three levers are active.
Once that happens, I stop exploring.
The puzzle is done.
I return to the clown machine and collect the Twisted Token.
That is the clean endpoint for this area.
I do not keep searching Clown Casino for the next main objective after taking it.
The game’s larger progression loop takes over again:
finish area
→ get Twisted Token
→ return to Lobby
→ use the new progression reward
→ open the next route.
The exact reward chain belongs in the Twisted Token guide.
For me, the important Clown Casino rule is simpler:
if I do not have all three levers, stay in the Casino.
If all three are active and I have the token, leave.
If I Am Still Stuck, I Check These Three Things
When Clown Casino feels like it has stopped progressing, I check the problem itself rather than re-searching the entire level.
If I am stuck at a pressure button, I look for a local object that can keep it pressed.
If I have opened several routes but the token is still unavailable, I check whether all three levers are actually active.
If I am deep in the later Casino and a door still looks impossible, I check whether the current section wants an explosive interaction rather than another conventional key.
That is enough to get me through the Casino without turning every locked door into a separate mystery.
