Final Fantasy Resonance Chapter 7: Reckoning Walkthrough
Complete Chapter 7: Reckoning in Final Fantasy Resonance, from Town of Sian and Mt. Reizan to Wandering Lands, Umbra, and the Dark Crystal.
Updated:
Quick Answer
After the Dark Crystal disappears at the end of Chapter 6, search the world aboard the Enterprise until the party discovers the floating land above the Kingdom of Pharm. Defeat Sid, then follow his directions to Town of Sian.
Speak with Ayaka to learn that the Dark Crystal may have appeared in the Wandering Lands. Because a tornado prevents the airship from approaching, travel on foot through Mt. Reizan, continue past Lake Ryusei and Forest Path, and reach Alcare Plains. Defeat the Sworn Six standing in your way, then confront Umbra at the Dark Crystal.
Chapter 7: Reckoning follows Rain’s party as they race the Sworn Six to recover the displaced Dark Crystal. Their search brings them to the Kingdom of Pharm, where an ancient battlefield has risen into the sky and several long-running conflicts finally reach their conclusion.
Search for the Missing Dark Crystal
After the events of Chapter 6: Tranquility, no one knows where the Dark Crystal has landed.
Sakura explains that the emergency teleportation was too unstable to control precisely. Raegen was separated from the group, and even the Sworn Six have lost track of the crystal.
The party decides to use the Enterprise to look for something unusual.
Board the airship and continue the search across the world map. Eventually, the group notices a strange phenomenon above the Kingdom of Pharm: a large section of land appears to be floating in the sky.
Before they can investigate further, Sid arrives and confronts them.
Defeat Sid and Learn Where to Search Next
Sid is determined to prevent Rain’s party from protecting the remaining crystal.
Lid asks to speak with him before the battle. She knows him through his work with the dwarves and his involvement in developing airship technology.
Sid reveals that he once considered abandoning his revenge against Aldore and living peacefully on Lapis. However, the loss of his family during the ancient war left him unable to move beyond his grief.
The conversation ends in a battle.
Fight Sid with your regular party and defeat him to advance the story.
After the battle, Lid promises to continue his dream of filling the skies with airships that connect people across the world.
Sid then gives the party the information it needs:
The Dark Crystal is in the Kingdom of Pharm. He directs Rain to Town of Sian, where the party may be able to learn more.
This is the next destination. There is no need to keep searching other continents with the airship once Sid has given this information.
Reach Town of Sian in the Kingdom of Pharm
Travel to the Kingdom of Pharm and enter Town of Sian.
The party has a destination but still needs to discover where the displaced crystal actually is.
Sakura recommends gathering information from the town’s residents.
During the investigation, the party meets Ayaka, one of Sakura’s former pupils.
Ayaka recognizes Sakura and eagerly tries to speak with her, but Sakura redirects the conversation toward the missing crystal.
Ask Ayaka About the Wandering Lands
Ayaka reports an extraordinary event.
An ancient battlefield south of the town, known as the Wandering Lands, has begun floating in the air. She also saw a powerful light around the time the land rose from the ground.
That light may have been the Dark Crystal.
Ayaka explains that people investigating the phenomenon encountered a woman wearing distinctive blue armor near Mt. Reizan.
Sakura suspects that the woman is Alluvion, a member of the Sworn Six.
The party now has a reason to head toward the mountain. However, reaching the floating battlefield is not as simple as flying the Enterprise straight there.
Why Can’t the Enterprise Fly to Wandering Lands?
Ayaka warns that a powerful tornado has formed near Wandering Lands.
The storm makes approaching the floating area by airship dangerous. Sakura also points out that there is not enough suitable ground near Mt. Reizan for the Enterprise to land safely.
The correct route is overland, through Mt. Reizan.
Do not continue circling the floating battlefield in the airship looking for a landing prompt.
Leave Town of Sian on foot and head toward the mountain. The route will take you closer to Wandering Lands while avoiding the area blocked by the tornado.
Cross Mt. Reizan and Find Alluvion
Enter Mt. Reizan and follow the mountain path.
The current objective is Go deeper into Mt. Reizan. Follow the connected mountain path shown on the minimap, continuing through the slopes and rocky passages.
There is no separate key or mechanism required along this route. Keep following the path until the party encounters Alluvion.
Nichol has been waiting for an opportunity to confront her over his brother’s death, making this the next important story encounter.
Watch Out for Nozuchi
If you encounter Nozuchi along the route, be aware that this Level 47 Insectoid has 32,400 HP. It is difficult to Stagger and can temporarily remove party members from battle.
Do not rely on a quick Stagger to interrupt it. Be prepared to continue fighting if a party member becomes unavailable.
Nozuchi drops Smoke Bombs. You can also steal a Knife of Poison, with Elixir listed as its rare steal.
Confront Alluvion at Mt. Reizan
Alluvion has a personal connection to Nichol’s family.
She was responsible for the death of Nichol’s brother, and Nichol has been waiting for the opportunity to confront her.
When the party catches up with Alluvion, Nichol attempts to settle that conflict.
During the confrontation, however, Alluvion’s personality changes. She no longer behaves like the cruel warrior who previously fought the party and admits that she does not want to continue killing.
Rain recognizes that she is no longer in a condition to fight.
The party learns that Alluvion used forbidden magic to suppress her gentler personality and transform herself into someone capable of fighting without hesitation.
The transformation is temporary, and maintaining it requires repeated use of that magic.
Nichol remains determined to avenge his brother, but Ignis intervenes before the conflict can be settled.
Defeat Ignis Before Pursuing Alluvion
Ignis refuses to let Nichol kill Alluvion while she is unable to defend herself.
He challenges Rain’s party to a final battle, drawing out the remaining power of his armor.
Ignis Final Battle
This is a separate confrontation from the Ignis encounters in Chapter 4.
The party must defeat him to continue pursuing Alluvion.
Ignis is determined to fight an opponent capable of challenging him at full strength.
After the battle, he explains that pushing his armor beyond its limits has exhausted the power keeping him alive.
The party cannot prevent this result by ending the battle differently.
Ignis asks Nichol to hear Alluvion’s explanation before judging her, then dies after the confrontation.
The story objective remains unchanged: Alluvion has moved farther along the route, and the party must follow her.
Continue Through Lake Ryusei and Face Alluvion Again
Continue beyond Mt. Reizan toward Lake Ryusei.
The area recalls earlier events involving Nichol and his brother. Alluvion uses that history to provoke him, and another confrontation follows.
This time, the party battles Alluvion in her crueler state.
Defeat her to continue the story.
What Happens After Alluvion Is Defeated?
After the fight, Alluvion returns to her gentler personality and accepts responsibility for the suffering she has caused.
She reveals that she once lived on Lapis, married a man from this world, and had a daughter. Her descendants inherited the same magical ability that later became associated with the Wardens of the Waters.
Nichol realizes that Alluvion is connected to the first water maiden and to his own family.
The revelation complicates his desire for revenge.
Rather than killing her, Nichol proposes that she devote the rest of her life to helping others.
This resolves their confrontation.
You do not need to find a special item to change Alluvion’s personality or choose a separate dialogue branch to secure this result.
Once the conversation is complete, continue toward the route leading to Wandering Lands.
Follow Forest Path Toward Wandering Lands
After Lake Ryusei, proceed along Forest Path.
The party is now closer to the floating battlefield but has not yet reached the Dark Crystal.
Continue through the available route until another member of the Sworn Six confronts Rain.
This time, the opponent is Tellus, Veritas of the Earth.
Defeat Tellus on Forest Path
Tellus is a warrior who values fighting strong opponents more than achieving an easy victory.
He recognizes that Rain and his companions have grown substantially stronger.
Although he doubts the Sworn Six can defeat the full might of Aldore after returning to Palladia, he refuses to abandon his warrior’s principles.
Tellus draws on the remaining power of his armor and challenges the party.
Defeat Tellus to reopen the route.
After the battle, Tellus acknowledges the party’s strength and warns that Umbra and Lux are already heading toward the Dark Crystal.
Continue along Forest Path until the objective changes to Go to the Wandering Lands.
At the end of the route, approach the exit and select Proceed to enter the next area. No additional switch or key is required.
Reach Wandering Lands and Alcare Plains
Proceed into the Wandering Lands.
The area is part of an ancient battlefield that was transported from Palladia centuries earlier. The sudden displacement of the Dark Crystal has caused this land to rise into the air.
As the party advances, Archwitch Fina recognizes the terrain.
The battlefield is Alcare Plains, where the war between Aldore and Hess reached its decisive confrontation roughly 700 years earlier.
The surrounding ruins and lingering magical energy are remnants of that conflict.
Follow the accessible route across the battlefield, keeping the Dark Crystal as your next destination.
Find Raegen Before Umbra
During the advance, the party discovers Raegen, who has been injured by Umbra.
Raegen confirms that Umbra and Lux are moving toward the final crystal.
He also warns that Umbra is stronger than he is.
This is an important distinction: the appearance of Raegen does not mean the party has already stopped Umbra or secured the Dark Crystal.
Continue along the route after the conversation.
Rain and Lasswell resolve to complete their duty as knights of Grandshelt and protect the crystal before it can be destroyed.
Defeat Umbra at the Dark Crystal
The party finally reaches Umbra near the Dark Crystal.
Umbra makes his objective clear: he intends to destroy the last crystal, removing the remaining barrier between Lapis and Palladia.
Rain refuses to let him proceed.
Umbra Boss Battle
Umbra challenges Rain and his companions to a decisive battle.
This is a major full-party story battle. The confrontation follows directly from the pursuit across Alcare Plains.
The outcome is determined by defeating Umbra, not by selecting a separate dialogue option about the crystal.
After the battle, Umbra acknowledges Rain and Lasswell’s strength.
The story then reveals that Umbra is a magical representation of Raegen’s younger self, created through a special power.
This explains why Raegen and Umbra could appear independently despite sharing the same identity.
For a moment, it appears that the party has succeeded in protecting the world.
However, the conflict is not over.
Why Does the Crystal Tower Appear After Umbra?
Following Umbra’s defeat, two beings connected to the ancient crystals emerge: Sol and Behemoth.
Their appearance changes the situation dramatically.
Sol has been imprisoned for centuries, and his behavior suggests that his mind has deteriorated during that time.
Rather than helping restore balance between the worlds, he declares an intention to destroy life on Lapis.
A massive crystal structure then begins forming as the dimensional gate destabilizes the surrounding land.
Sakura explains that the gate threatens to pull the land into Palladia. If it remains open, the consequences could destroy the world.
The new structure is the Crystal Tower.
The situation is not a failure state caused by losing the previous battle or choosing the wrong route. The appearance of the tower is the next major story event.
The party decides to pursue Sol and Behemoth and stop the gate from destroying Lapis.
Finish Chapter 7: Reckoning
After the events at Alcare Plains, regroup with the party aboard the Enterprise.
The search for the missing Dark Crystal has ended, but Sol and Behemoth now threaten Lapis through the unstable dimensional gate.
The party’s next destination is the Crystal Tower.
This concludes Chapter 7: Reckoning.
Continue with the Chapter 8: Beyond Hope walkthrough to enter Crystal Tower, defeat Chaotic Darkness, and complete the main story.
