Final Fantasy Resonance Achievements: All 40 & 100% Guide

Quick Answer

For all 40 achievements, complete Chapters 1–8, work toward 1,000 Staggers and 400 Resonances during regular battles, and develop your Visions and Espers as the story progresses. The larger cleanup goals include every Cave Master, all 12 Legendary Arms, three Colosseum leagues, party substories, weapon crafting, and Ultima Weapon.

Use the checklist below to mark completed achievements and identify which long-term goals still need attention.

All 40 Achievements and 100% Overview

Final Fantasy Resonance has 40 Steam achievements. Eight are awarded for clearing the story chapters, while the remaining objectives cover party progression, Visions, Espers, combat milestones, exploration, optional battles, and collection goals.

The final achievement, Ultimate Fantasy, requires obtaining every achievement.

Completing Chapter 8 therefore does not automatically mean reaching 100%. Several objectives require continued work beyond ordinary story progression, particularly the full Vision and Esper collections, Cave Masters, Legendary Arms, and specialized combat milestones.

The achievement list also contains hidden objectives. Their descriptions identify the required result, but do not establish whether a particular objective is permanently missable.

Best Order to Get All 40 Achievements

1. Clear the Eight Story Chapters

The main story awards one achievement for clearing each chapter, beginning with A Journey Begins and ending with Aspiration’s End.

Play through the chapters in order rather than interrupting every story sequence to finish unrelated collection tasks. Several other goals depend on characters, areas, or systems that become available as the journey progresses.

For the complete main-story route, use the Final Fantasy Resonance walkthrough index to find all eight chapters in order. Finish the story as you progress through the remaining Vision, Esper, and combat achievements.

Alongside the chapter clears, keep track of Those Who Defy Fate, which requires unlocking every party member. Finishing a chapter and completing the full party roster are separate achievement conditions.

2. Build Stagger and Resonance Progress During Regular Battles

Two combat achievements have particularly large cumulative requirements:

  • Keep Them on Their Toes — Stagger enemies 1,000 times.
  • Resonance Rapid Fire — Use Resonances 400 times.

Both are worth working toward throughout the main story. Waiting until every other objective is complete leaves these two counters to be handled separately.

When fighting groups of enemies, look for opportunities to Stagger multiple targets rather than concentrating exclusively on the first enemy. A Sweeping Stagger creates another opportunity to use Resonance, helping both goals progress through the same general combat approach.

The two achievements measure different actions. Staggering enemies does not replace the requirement to actually use Resonances.

3. Progress Vision Mastery, Awakening, and Esper Collection

Several achievements involve Visions, but they do not all require the same kind of progression.

Mastery Rank and Awakening are separate goals. Reaching the maximum Mastery Rank on a Vision is not the same achievement condition as awakening a Vision to its limit.

A useful order is:

  1. Max one Vision’s Mastery Rank for The First Step Towards Mastery.
  2. Develop eight different Visions to maximum MR for Vision Connoisseur.
  3. Awaken one Vision to its limit for Awakened Light.
  4. Collect 10 Visions, then continue toward the complete collection for Visions Assemble and Will Crystallized.
  5. Gain the help of three Espers, then pursue all Espers for Esper’s Covenant and The Sovereigns of the Planet.

You do not need to assume that eight maximum-MR Visions must also be fully awakened. Those achievements specify different requirements.

When a new Vision becomes available, check whether it contributes to the remaining Mastery or collection goals before returning to one that has already reached its target.

4. Complete the Major Side Activities

The remaining collection and challenge achievements involve several distinct activities.

Prioritize them according to what you can already access, rather than treating the entire list as one continuous quest.

  • Cave Masters: Defeat one, five, and eventually every Cave Master for Magicite Hunter, The Bigger They Are…, and The Harder They Fall.
  • Legendary Arms: Obtain your first Legendary Arm for Ancient Artifact, then collect all 12 for Legendary Arms.
  • Aileen’s crafting: Have Aileen craft a weapon once, then arrange weapon crafting for every party member.
  • Colosseum: Complete the Fledgling, Brawler, and Gladiator Leagues.
  • Party substories: Complete every party member substory for Conscience Renewed.

These are separate completion requirements. For example, finding all Legendary Arms does not automatically satisfy Aileen’s weapon-crafting achievements.

5. Finish Remaining Combat, Economy, and Special Challenges

After the main story and the larger collections, review any remaining incomplete achievements.

The economy goals are cumulative but different: Gil Comes and Goes requires spending 100,000 gil, while Making Lid Proud requires gaining a total of 1,000,000 gil.

Other objectives to check include Mechabo’s ultimate upgrade, defeating a Metal Gigantuar, defeating a King Gil Snapper, and defeating Ultima Weapon.

Once every other achievement has been earned, complete Ultimate Fantasy.

Mastery Rank vs. Awakening: What Counts?

The Vision achievements are easy to confuse because several of them reward progress with the same character-building system.

The First Step Towards Mastery requires maximum Mastery Rank on one Vision. Vision Connoisseur extends that target to eight Visions.

Awakened Light instead requires awakening a Vision to its limit. That is a different enhancement objective from increasing Mastery Rank.

The collection achievements are separate again:

  • Visions Assemble requires obtaining 10 Visions.
  • Will Crystallized requires obtaining all Visions.

A Vision contributing to the collection total does not necessarily mean its Mastery or Awakening targets are finished.

For 100%, check each of these conditions independently instead of marking the entire Vision category complete after obtaining every Vision.

How to Complete the Cave Master Achievements

Three achievements use progressively larger Cave Master defeat requirements:

  • Magicite Hunter: Defeat a Cave Master.
  • The Bigger They Are…: Defeat five Cave Masters.
  • The Harder They Fall: Defeat every Cave Master.

The first two can be completed before the full set is defeated. The last one requires the entire Cave Master roster, not merely five wins.

After defeating a Cave Master, mark the relevant milestone in the tracker. Keep the all-Cave-Masters objective open until the final required enemy has been defeated.

Legendary Arms and Aileen’s Weapons Are Different Goals

Weapon-related achievements involve two systems that should not be confused.

Ancient Artifact is awarded when you obtain your first of the Twelve Legendary Arms. Legendary Arms requires collecting all 12.

Aileen’s crafting achievements have different conditions:

  • The Weapon that Suits the User: Have Aileen craft a weapon for the first time.
  • The Weaponsmith: Have Aileen craft weapons for all party members.

Collecting the Legendary Arms does not, by itself, complete the crafting requirements.

When checking your final weapon-related achievements, treat the Legendary Arm collection and Aileen’s crafting progress as two separate lists.

All Three Colosseum Leagues

Three achievements are tied to clearing the Colosseum’s league challenges.

  • Just Getting Started: Clear all Fledgling League fights.
  • Arena Fighter: Clear all Brawler League fights.
  • Career Fighter: Clear all Gladiator League fights.

Clearing one league does not satisfy the requirements of the others.

Complete each league’s full set of fights before marking its achievement, rather than treating a single victory as a league clear.

Other Achievements to Check Before 100%

Several achievements are easy to overlook when concentrating on bosses and weapon collections.

Kweh! requires obtaining a chocobo. Princess’s Reward requires receiving a reward at Oblivion Palace for the first time, while Memento is tied to helping the enigmatic princess regain her second memory.

Mechabo Mania requires upgrading Mechabo to his ultimate form. Priceless Experience and Struck Gold require defeating a Metal Gigantuar and King Gil Snapper respectively.

My Name Is Ultima… requires defeating Ultima Weapon, and Conscience Renewed requires finishing all party member substories.

These are distinct objectives. A complete story clear does not establish that every optional activity has been finished.

What Unlocks Ultimate Fantasy?

Ultimate Fantasy is the final all-achievements objective.

Before marking it complete, make sure the other 39 achievements have been earned, including the Chapter 8 clear, complete Vision and Esper collections, Cave Masters, all Twelve Legendary Arms, weapon crafting for the entire party, all three Colosseum leagues, and the cumulative combat milestones.

Use the tracker to review any unchecked entries rather than repeating an activity whose achievement has already unlocked.
