How I Got Ending A and Ending B in Endacopia
I use the toy saw and alternate passage for Ending A, or give Roger the working saw and follow the desert route for Ending B.
Updated:
Quick answer: Save before opening the Saw Box with code 471. For Ending A, take the toy saw, give it to Roger and later avoid the obvious single door. For Ending B, take the working saw Roger requested, choose Leave It Behind and continue through the desert to Melo’s family.
Endacopia decides its ending before the final scene.
The major branch begins when I open Henry’s Saw Box and choose between two different saws. Because I can only take one, I keep a separate save before making the selection.
Save Before Opening the Saw Box
Roger asks Melo to bring him a handsaw after the Chapter 2 routes are complete.
To reach the box, I:
- move Melo’s reflection away from the mirror;
- speak to Henry about the figures on his shelf;
- receive Henry’s Floppy Disk;
- use the disk on the computer;
- open
PASSWORDS.TXT; - find the Saw Box entry;
- enter code
471.
The password file contains several unrelated codes.
444 belongs to the Brown Box.
The Saw Box uses:
471
The full mirror and computer sequence is covered in the Endacopia Puzzle Solutions Guide.
Inside the box, I find:
- a toy-looking saw;
- a working saw.
I cannot take one saw and return for the other.
How to Get Ending A
For Ending A, I take the toy saw and give it to Roger.
The game does not immediately announce that the route has changed. I continue through Chapter 3, complete the Timesville investigation and finish the Chameleon encounter.
The Chameleon battle itself is covered in the Endacopia Boss Fights Guide.
Return to Roger With the Toy-Saw Route Active
After Chapter 3, I return to Roger.
He recognizes that Melo gave him a toy instead of the working saw he requested.
Roger says the deal is over.
He claims the house and everything below it are dying, and that Melo ruined their chance to escape.
I do not reload after this conversation.
Although Roger describes the situation as a failure, the earlier warning not to trust him points toward another way out.
Avoid the Obvious Single Door
After leaving Roger, I reach a section with one conspicuous door and another available opening.
I do not enter the obvious door.
I use the alternate passage instead.
The door looks like the intended exit, while the nearby passage appears less important. That visual framing is the trap.
I save before choosing.
If I enter the door accidentally, I reload immediately rather than continuing and hoping the routes reconnect.
Follow the Alternate Passage to Tip
The alternate route eventually leads to Tip.
Tip cannot climb any higher, but he offers to boost Melo into the next area.
I accept and climb onto him.
Tip asks Melo not to look back. I continue forward instead of returning toward Roger’s door.
Win the Final Multi-Sense Confrontation
The final Ending A encounter combines several threats instead of using one ordinary attacker.
The active actions can include:
- a hand stopping or grabbing Melo’s hands;
- a mouth-based attack;
- a normal directional strike;
- overlapping animations;
- stamina pressure.
I focus on the threat that is currently completing an attack.
I defend against that action first and only counter after it ends. When my stamina becomes low, I stop forcing extra attacks and preserve enough for the next defensive response.
After the confrontation, Melo wakes in a new house with Tip and the rescued residents.
Invite Everyone to the Marshmallow Gathering
Tip suggests celebrating with marshmallows.
Before starting the gathering, I speak to the residents spread throughout the new house.
I search by area:
- the ground floor;
- the kitchen and side rooms;
- the shower or bathroom;
- the upstairs rooms;
- the exterior;
- the upper outside route.
The last invitation is easy to miss because not everyone stands near the central fireplace.
I check the upper route and the pair stargazing outside before assuming the objective is stuck.
Once every invitation has been accepted, I return to the gathering and start the final scene.
Ending A Result
The result screen says:
YOU GOT ENDING A: FAMILY!
The achievement unlocked for this route is:
Escape
What Ending A Means
My reading of Ending A is that Melo rejects Roger’s private survival plan.
Roger wants the working saw so he can separate himself from the failing house or host. Giving him the toy prevents that plan from unfolding as intended.
Melo instead follows Tip and escapes through a route built around the characters he helped.
The ending does not finish as soon as Melo reaches safety. He still checks that the other residents survived and brings everyone together.
That is why the in-game title uses Family!, while Escape describes what the group accomplished.
How to Get Ending B
For Ending B, I reload the save made before opening the Saw Box.
This time, I take the working saw Roger requested and give it to him.
Roger’s response confirms that Melo delivered the correct tool.
I then finish Chapter 3 and continue through the Chameleon route. The boss choice does not replace the later ending decision.
Choose Leave It Behind
After the Chameleon route, I continue through the toy-filled area and meet Tip again.
Tip gives Melo the same upward boost into the late-game route.
I eventually reach a door that cannot be opened normally.
At the decision, I select:
Leave It Behind
I continue forward instead of returning to search for another key.
This route leads to a ruined house in the desert.
Speak to Roger in the Ruined House
Roger is inside the dilapidated house.
He explains that the previous house, creature or ship was dying and no longer had enough left for him to drain.
The working saw allowed him to carve himself free.
Roger considers the agreement complete:
- Melo provided the saw;
- Roger helped create an escape;
- their deal is finished.
I finish the conversation and leave.
There is no required purchase or additional item search inside the ruined house.
Cross the Desert to Melo’s Family
I walk away from Roger’s house and continue through the desert.
The route is mostly linear.
When the distant house becomes reachable, I approach it and interact with the entrance.
The house belongs to the Thompson family.
Melo’s family recognizes him.
His mother asks where he has been, and Melo explains that he fell from the truck, became lost and had to find his way back.
The reunion is not presented as a straightforward happy rescue.
Melo is blamed for disappearing and sent back to his room.
A younger family member later asks for a bedtime story, and Melo begins retelling the events of Endacopia.
Ending B Result
The result screen says:
YOU GOT ENDING B: FAMILY?
The achievement unlocked for this route is:
Return
What Ending B Means
My reading of Ending B is that Roger and Melo both return to familiar roles.
Roger escapes the failing host and begins looking for another place to survive.
Melo reaches his original home, but the reunion returns him to the same authority and restrictions implied by the opening.
The question mark in Family? makes this ending noticeably less certain than Ending A’s Family!
Melo has returned home, but the broader Endacopia community is not shown escaping with him.
That is why Return fits the route better than Escape.
Which Ending Should I Complete First?
I complete Ending A first because its final route contains the longer multi-sense confrontation and resident invitation check.
I then reload the Saw Box save and select the working saw for Ending B.
Both routes share the same progression before the saw choice, so one branch save is enough to avoid starting the game again.
FAQ

No. Ending A and Ending B do not require full achievement completion. I can continue after the main Chapter 3 route without catching every fish or finishing every optional activity.
How do I get Ending C in Endacopia? +
Ending C is connected to the hidden Stay achievement. This guide currently covers the complete Ending A and Ending B routes only.
