Guide Cluster

The House Always Wins Guides

Quick Answer

Start with the full walkthrough when you need the next mandatory region or Walker return. Use the Rangifer guide for the fire-weak Nushi behind the three-key route, or the Lacerta guide for the Reservoir dive and evolved-maw fight. The focused Foreman, key, gate, and ending pages handle individual blockers without forcing you through the entire story route.

I use this page as a route selector, not a second copy of the walkthrough.

The complete story stays in one chapter-based guide. A separate page exists only when a player can arrive with a precise problem: a missing NPC, a named key, a control-panel error, a specific Nushi, or an ending question.

The current cluster covers:

  • the complete mandatory story route;
  • Rangifer and Lacerta;
  • the Sub-City Foreman;
  • the red, blue, and yellow keys;
  • two generators and the Lightning Stone gate;
  • the final point of no return and ending.

Builds, Koo systems, attribute reset, difficulty, achievements, New Game Plus, and collectibles remain short Hub notes for now. I will only expand them into separate pages when the exact mechanics are verified and GSC shows a real query pattern worth serving.

Choose the Guide That Matches Your Problem

I need the complete story route

Use the Beast of Reincarnation walkthrough.

It is organized into six practical chapter groups:

  1. Foreman, three keys, and Rangifer;
  2. underground ruins, Reservoir, and Lacerta;
  3. mountainous region and bell caverns;
  4. Matsukawa, Oi Colony, and the giant tree;
  5. Inugami River and Starfall Tower;
  6. the capital and final battle.

The walkthrough tells me where the next mandatory route begins, when the story expects a Walker return, and when a long detour is actually required progression.

Rangifer is blocking me

Use the Rangifer boss guide.

Rangifer is the Nushi connected to the three-key route. The focused page handles the confirmed fire weakness, optional Fire Arrow Manual, final campsite, Spirit Stone merchant decision, late-fight change, and when another attempt is more useful than another purchase.

The confirmed fire clue belongs to Rangifer. The detailed Boss page explains when the waterfall detour is worth taking.

Lacerta is blocking me

Use the Lacerta boss guide.

Lacerta is fought first in the Reservoir at Lv. 13, then in its lair at Lv. 16. The focused guide covers the swamp dive, scripted retreat, final camp, evolved giant-maw phase, Koo windows, healing decisions, and finisher prompt.

Level 16 Lacerta in its evolved giant-maw phase
The giant maw marks Lacerta’s phase change. I use the Boss guide when the Reservoir route is clear but the final fight is not.

I cannot find the Foreman

Use Search for the Foreman.

The short answer is that the route leaves the abandoned village and continues toward the Sub-City. The focused page owns the combat-door check, final room, and Zangetsu Bow sequence.

I am missing a red, blue, or yellow key

Use the red, blue, and yellow key guide.

The most important decision is not another pickup location: after all three keys are collected, I follow the new instruction to return to the Walker instead of running directly back to the old gate.

The gate still says Insufficient power

Use How to Open the Gate.

A completed 2/2 generator count only powers the route into the Reservoir. The control panel still requires a charged Lightning Stone. The focused page owns both generator branches, the depleted stone, the usable stone, and the correct return route.

I finished the story but do not understand the ending

Use the ending explanation.

That page contains full spoilers for Mikoto, Violet, Emma, Koo, Shambala, the vessel, the Beast of Reincarnation, and the final return scene. I keep those answers out of the progression sections players may open before reaching the capital.

My Story Route at a Glance

The early route moves from the Foreman to Rangifer, then through the three-key and required Walker sequence.

The next regional chapter descends into the underground ruins, powers two generators, introduces Lacerta in the Reservoir, and uses a Lightning Stone to open the surface route.

The middle game expands into longer regional navigation:

  • the mountainous region;
  • bell caverns;
  • Matsukawa Colony;
  • Oi Colony;
  • the giant tree and numbered card keys;
  • Inugami River Colony.

The late route goes beneath Starfall Tower before entering the capital.

Brad directing Emma into the lower levels of Starfall Tower
The late-game tower route goes down. Brad’s instruction points into the lower levels rather than toward the structure above.

At the capital, I follow Bauera’s marked objectives instead of clearing every visible street. When Bauera gives the no-going-back warning, I stop and finish all preparation before crossing.

Progression Rules I Use Across Every Chapter

I follow the newest objective, not the oldest landmark

A location can remain visually important after the story temporarily sends me elsewhere.

The clearest example is the three-key route: collecting all keys does not mean I should immediately return to the gate. The new objective sends me to the Walker first.

The same rule applies when a Nushi retreats. I check whether the next step is a Walker return, control panel, newly opened route, or final lair.

I finish Walker tasks before departure

Before confirming that the Walker should move, I check:

  • equipment and Spirit Stone slots;
  • healing and crafted ammunition;
  • Emma and Koo upgrades;
  • available conversations;
  • cooking and farming actions I care about;
  • any purchase I have already decided to make.

Some departures begin the next regional chapter and prevent Emma from stepping back outside.

I buy to fix a demonstrated problem

I spend Amber when ordinary enemies are already consuming the healing or ammunition meant for the next Nushi.

I save it when:

  • I am already reaching the later phase of a boss;
  • the last failure came from an unread attack;
  • the merchant item does not match my setup;
  • the route is locked by a named key or mechanism.

I activate camps even when I do not rest

Long regions often place a camp before a boss, colony, cavern, or exposed climb.

Activating it gives me a known return point. I rest immediately when the route has already consumed boss resources; otherwise I keep moving and use the camp only if the next attempt exposes a real preparation problem.

Short System Notes That Do Not Need Separate Pages Yet

Spirit Stones and build changes

Spirit Stones slot into equipment and provide additional effects.

I do not replace my whole setup whenever I find a new one. I change the build when a repeated problem is visible: normal enemies take too many exchanges, a boss leaves no safe healing window, or an empty slot can add an effect I will actually use.

A dedicated build page needs complete skill trees, equipment names, Spirit Stone combinations, and before-and-after performance data. Until those are available, a short decision rule is more useful than a generic “best build.”

Koo support

I use Koo to extend a confirmed opening, interrupt a committed enemy action, or create space for healing.

I do not use every command as soon as it becomes available. Against Lacerta, for example, a command used while the boss is beneath the swamp can be wasted on an unavailable target.

Koo skills, rapport, Bloom Arts, and Charms can stay together in one future guide if GSC begins showing repeated searches. They do not need four separate Wiki-style pages.

Attribute reset and difficulty

The achievement list confirms that attribute points can be reset, but it does not prove the exact unlock chapter, menu location, cost, or restrictions.

I will keep this as a short FAQ until the full menu sequence is confirmed. Difficulty settings can remain part of a future beginner or build guide unless search data shows that players need a separate comparison page.

Achievements and New Game Plus

The achievement data confirms named Boss achievements, collection requirements, attribute reset, and a New Game Plus clear.

That is enough to confirm the systems exist, but not enough for a trustworthy Platinum roadmap. A complete achievement page needs:

  • missable checks;
  • exact collectible locations;
  • first-playthrough cleanup order;
  • New Game Plus inheritance;
  • a verified second-playthrough route.

Until those pieces are complete, I will not turn the achievement list into a large table that adds little beyond the platform’s own list.

Collectibles

The achievements reference Blades, Manuals, Campsites, Shrines, documents, lore paintings, seedlings, Keeper Golems, and other completion categories.

I collect items that sit directly on the mandatory route, but I do not claim complete location coverage from the current first-pass cluster.

If GSC starts showing searches for one category, such as all Manuals or all Campsites, I can expand that category first instead of launching one vague all-collectibles page.

Current Guide Coverage

The current first batch contains:

This gives the Hub one broad route page, two Boss pages, three precise progression pages, and one spoiler page.

The next expansion should follow verified player demand rather than filling every possible menu item with a thin article.

The House Always Wins FAQ

Is this a 100% Beast of Reincarnation guide? +

Not yet. The current hub covers the complete mandatory story route, confirmed progression blockers, Rangifer, Lacerta, and the ending. Complete achievement cleanup, every collectible location, and a verified New Game Plus roadmap will be expanded only after their exact requirements and inheritance rules are confirmed.

Which Nushi is fought in the Reservoir? +

The Reservoir Nushi is Lacerta, not Rangifer. The first Reservoir encounter shows level 13 Lacerta, while the final lair battle shows level 16 after the Lightning Stone opens the surface route.

Does Beast of Reincarnation have New Game Plus? +

Yes. The Reincarnated achievement requires clearing New Game Plus. This hub does not yet claim which equipment, levels, collectibles, or upgrades carry over because those inheritance rules need a completed second-playthrough check.

Can I reset attribute points? +

Yes. The Degeneration achievement confirms that attribute points can be reset. I am keeping the exact unlock point, menu path, cost, and restrictions off this first-pass guide until they are verified in the game interface.
