How to Get All 5 Stars in Riquetti Gardens
Complete Riquetti Gardens from the first Carousel to Reason's Edge, with every major star requirement, progression blocker, and building decision.
Updated:
Quick Answer
To get your first star in Riquetti Gardens, build a Helipad, hire a Funfair Expert, and visit Gearbox Plaza for the Carousel Blueprint. Set up the Carousel, unlock five Gearbox POIs, then reach Museum Level 12 while meeting the Happiness and Buzz objectives.
Riquetti Gardens opens after Memento Mile Act 1 in Campaign Mode. In Sandbox Mode, you can access the new content from the beginning.
You can play the first plot, first star, first five Gearbox Fairgrounds Points of Interest, and the initial custom Coaster without purchasing Rides & Relics. The remaining four stars and advanced Funfair progression require the full DLC.
The campaign follows five main stages. Early tasks focus on starting the Funfair and bringing in visitors. Later chapters demand specific Coaster designs, better Blueprint quality, sustained monthly profit, Funfair Enlightenment, and finally Angus Gearbox’s most ambitious attraction, Reason’s Edge.
A completed ride does not necessarily advance the current objective. Some tasks check the ride’s quality or Thrill, while others depend on guest reviews, expedition unlocks, or museum-wide ratings. Keep the active objective panel visible and check which condition is still incomplete before spending more money.
1 Star — Build the Carousel and Reach Museum Level 12
Your opening tasks establish the museum’s first Funfair attraction.
Start with a Helipad and a Funfair Expert, then prepare an expedition to Gearbox Plaza. The early objectives also require an Assistant and a Staff Room with Level 2 Decoration.
Don’t use the largest open outdoor area for basic facilities. Later Roller Coasters need considerably more room, while the Helipad and small service buildings can occupy less valuable parts of your first plot.
Build Your First Carousel
Complete the expedition to Gearbox Plaza and collect the Carousel Blueprint when the team returns.
The opening Carousel construction task requires:
- Build the Carousel using the recovered design.
- Give it a queue at least 6 tiles long.
- Raise its Decoration Level to 3.
The initial Carousel costs $22,000 to build. Keep additional funds available for staff wages, guest facilities, and the next expeditions.
Finish the queue and decoration requirements separately. A completed attraction with a short queue will not satisfy the queue task, and additional queue tiles won’t substitute for the required Decoration Level.
Once those conditions are met, allow the Funfair Expert to finish the attraction so visitors can begin using it.
Unlock Five Gearbox Fairgrounds POIs
The first-star progression requires five unlocked Points of Interest on the Gearbox Fairgrounds expedition map.
You are counting accessible locations, not five different attractions displayed in the museum.
Continue opening available destinations while the Carousel begins attracting visitors. Once the five-POI requirement is complete, additional Blueprint upgrades are not necessary for this particular objective.
Individual locations may have their own unlock conditions. The Gearbox Fairgrounds expedition walkthrough covers the destination requirements and the rewards worth collecting next.
Complete the First-Star Objectives
The final Funfair Museum objective group requires:
- Museum Level 12
- 5 Gearbox Fairgrounds POIs unlocked
- Average guest Happiness above 70%
- 25 guests with at least 250 Buzz
Museum Level 12 is the most likely remaining obstacle after the Carousel and expedition objectives are finished.
Museum Level depends on the Buzz of your displayed collection and your staff ranks. A museum with enough visitors can still fall short of the level requirement if its collection is small or its employees are underdeveloped.
Before purchasing another expensive ride, check the exhibits already available in storage.
Bone Belt exhibits can contribute to Museum Level alongside the Funfair collection. If you’ve already completed expeditions there, displaying an unused exhibit may provide an easier increase than waiting for another large Funfair Blueprint.
Also check whether existing exhibits have available improvements and whether useful staff promotions are close to completion.
For the Happiness requirement, solve obvious guest problems first. Make sure toilets, food, drinks, and other essential facilities can handle the current visitor count. Keep the Carousel maintained and accessible rather than expanding into another attraction while basic services are failing.
The 25-guest Buzz task needs visitors to reach the required amount during their visits. Keep the attraction open and let the museum operate until enough guests qualify.
Once all four conditions register, Riquetti Gardens receives its first star.
2 Stars — Reach Funfair Enlightenment 5 and Get 50 Reviews
The second stage, Fair Weather, introduces two progression systems that cannot be completed by simply purchasing more rides.
One involves improving the designs recovered from Gearbox Fairgrounds. The other involves building Funfair Knowledge through ride awards.
Meanwhile, your museum must reach a higher level and attract a specific group of satisfied visitors.
The requirements are:
- Reach Funfair Enlightenment Level 5.
- Improve 5 Gearbox Fairgrounds POIs to Blueprint Level 2.
- Reach Museum Level 17.
- Receive 50 Funfair Enthusiast reviews rated at least 3 stars.
How to Reach Funfair Enlightenment Level 5
Funfair Enlightenment increases as your Funfair exhibits earn Knowledge through Ribbons awarded by the Department of Amusement.
To advance this objective:
- Select a Funfair exhibit and check which Ribbon requirements are still incomplete.
- Satisfy an available requirement and keep the attraction operating until the next Funfair inspection awards the Ribbon.
- Check the Funfair Enlightenment progress, then work toward additional Ribbons on attractions that still have awards available.
Do this while your expedition teams improve the five required Blueprint POIs. The inspections can continue during normal museum operation, so there is no need to finish every expedition before pursuing Enlightenment.
If a Ribbon isn’t progressing, check its individual conditions in the Funfair Ribbon walkthrough.
Upgrade Five Gearbox POIs to Blueprint Level 2
The objective counts five separate POIs at Blueprint Level 2.
Improving one location beyond Level 2 does not replace the need to upgrade other locations.
Visit the Gearbox Fairgrounds map and prioritize Blueprint POIs that have not yet reached the required level.
A Survey POI cannot substitute for a Blueprint location here, even if you have completed multiple expeditions to it.
When the fifth qualifying POI reaches Level 2, return your available experts to whichever reward or unlock is needed next. There is no requirement to upgrade every Gearbox location before finishing this star.
The Gearbox Fairgrounds guide explains how Blueprint Levels advance, why some quality tiers must be unlocked in sequence, and which expedition requirements can prevent another visit.
Get 50 Reviews From Funfair Enthusiasts
This is a guest-type requirement, not simply a request for 50 reviews from anyone.
You need 50 Funfair Enthusiast reviews rated 3 stars or higher.
Keep the museum operating while expeditions and Ribbon inspections take place. Reviews accumulate from completed visits, so a busy entrance doesn’t immediately translate into a completed review counter.
At this point, prioritize the visitor experience around the Funfair attractions already available:
- Keep rides open and maintained.
- Make queues and exits accessible.
- Provide toilets and other essential services near busy areas.
- Address persistent Nausea and cleaning problems.
- Avoid overloading staff with new construction while active attractions need attention.
Adding another attraction can improve the visit, but it isn’t a substitute for repairing the reasons guests are leaving dissatisfied.
Reach Museum Level 17
If the other Fair Weather objectives are complete but your museum is still Level 16, check for exhibits in storage, available exhibit improvements, and staff close to promotion.
Use the same Museum Level approach that helped with the first star. You don’t need another expensive Coaster solely to gain the final level if your existing collection and staff can provide the increase.
Once all four Fair Weather objectives are complete, you receive the second star.
3 Stars — Reach 1,345 Buzz and Maintain $5,000 Monthly Profit
The third-star progression shifts attention from building attractions to operating a museum that appeals to more visitors.
Your existing Funfair may already attract thrill-seeking guests, but the next objectives introduce families and children. The main challenge is broadening the collection without creating expenses that undermine the later profit requirement.
Finish Funfair for Everyone
The Funfair for Everyone tasks include:
- Attract 15 Child guests through Marketing.
- Complete a Family Campaign.
- Complete an expedition to Trek Tracks.
- Build a Cross-Country Cart.
Prepare the required Marketing activity and continue operating the museum while the child visitors arrive.
Complete the Trek Tracks expedition to obtain the Cross-Country Cart design, then construct the attraction once you have a suitable space.
Leave room for later Coasters. Smaller attractions can be arranged around existing paths and facilities, while a large custom track may require reorganizing an entire outdoor section.
The Gearbox Fairgrounds expedition guide covers the Blueprint and location requirements when the corresponding design is unavailable.
Meet the Low-Key Foreshadowing Objectives
The main three-star objective group, Low-Key Foreshadowing, requires:
- 1,345 total Buzz
- 10 guests with at least 1,000 Buzz
- Average monthly profit of $5,000 over 3 months
- 100 guest reviews rated at least 3.5 stars
The collection Buzz and guest Buzz requirements need different attention.
A displayed collection can reach 1,345 Buzz while individual visitors still fail to reach 1,000 during their visits. Check whether guests have enough worthwhile attractions available along accessible routes.
Poorly maintained rides, queues with access problems, or inadequate guest facilities can interrupt the visit before the required guest Buzz is accumulated.
The review requirement also takes time. You need 100 qualifying reviews, not merely 100 visitors entering the museum.
Keep enough variety available that guests can enjoy the museum without depending entirely on one exceptionally popular attraction.
How to Keep Average Monthly Profit Above $5,000
The objective checks average monthly profit over three months, not the total money in your account.
You can have a large cash reserve and still fail if wages, maintenance, and other operating costs consume most of the income.
Start by examining the attractions you already operate.
Before building another attraction, check whether the existing Funfair rides are earning enough to cover their operating costs. Ticket prices can improve revenue, but pushing them beyond what guests consider good value may create another problem. Use the Funfair pricing walkthrough when adjusting individual ride prices.
For the monthly profit requirement:
- Keep profitable attractions available to guests.
- Postpone optional construction that will add wages or maintenance costs without helping the current objective.
- Hire employees to solve an actual staffing shortage, not simply because more applicants are available.
- Wait for the required three-month average to register before beginning another expensive expansion.
A completed Family Campaign and successful expedition do not remove this financial requirement.
If monthly profit remains the only incomplete objective, stabilize the existing museum before buying another plot or constructing an attraction that will take time to pay for itself.
When to Purchase More Land
Riquetti Gardens eventually needs space for several Roller Coasters, but buying plots too early reduces the funds available for construction and staffing.
Buy another plot when a required attraction no longer fits on your current land. Until then, reorganize smaller service rooms and preserve the largest open sections for future Coasters.
Some plots remain locked behind progression requirements. Check that the land is available before committing to a design that depends on it.
Complete the Buzz, profit, and review objectives to earn the third star.
4 Stars — Open the Gearbox Gates and Build Steeper Chase
After the third star, the campaign introduces more advanced Gearbox inventions and new access restrictions.
The Gearbox Gate Key opens the route toward later attractions. Your Funfair Experts must also be ready for expeditions with more demanding staff qualifications.
The fourth-star objectives increasingly depend on specific rides and their actual quality, not merely the number of attractions displayed.
Use the Gearbox Gate Key
When the gate objective becomes available, return to the Gearbox Fairgrounds map and open the newly accessible route.
The Gate Key is tied to the campaign’s progression. Repeating ordinary early expeditions will not substitute for the required unlock.
Some advanced destinations need specialist qualifications, including Complex Construction Level 3. Check the team requirements before selecting an expedition.
If a location is unavailable because you lack a qualified Funfair Expert, train the required employee while your museum continues operating.
For advanced destination requirements, costs, and rewards, use the Gearbox Fairgrounds expedition guide.
Complete Inside Job: Steeper Chase and Maniacal Mechanics
The Inside Job objectives require:
- Build a Steeper Chase with at least 15 Thrill.
- Build a Maniacal Mechanics exhibit.
A Steeper Chase that has been placed but does not reach 15 Thrill leaves the task incomplete.
Recover the necessary design, reserve enough outdoor space, and complete the attraction. Check its actual Thrill after construction rather than treating the Blueprint placement as sufficient.
Steeper Chase has specific track restrictions, so use the Roller Coaster construction guide for its acceleration options and working track design.
The Maniacal Mechanics requirement is separate. Improving the Steeper Chase’s Thrill does not complete the other exhibit objective.
Display Three Epic-Quality Roller Coasters
Another advanced requirement calls for three Epic-quality Roller Coaster exhibits.
Open your existing Coasters and count how many are already at Epic quality. The objective requires three qualifying attractions, so one Epic Coaster does not satisfy the full requirement.
If you have recovered higher-quality Blueprints, check whether your current rides can be upgraded before constructing replacements. The Roller Coaster walkthrough explains how to upgrade an existing attraction without rebuilding its track.
Recover any missing quality upgrades through Gearbox Fairgrounds expeditions, then finish the required three-Coaster collection.
Additional guest and Marketing tasks, including Ferocity Frenzy, can progress while the remaining upgrades and expeditions are underway.
Start those activities as they become available rather than waiting until every advanced ride is finished.
Leave Space for Reason’s Edge
You do not need to construct Reason’s Edge during the fourth-star stage, but the following chapter requires it.
By now, outdoor space can become a significant limitation.
Reserve an area large enough for another major attraction, or identify an existing ride that can be moved without losing an essential part of the museum’s current operation.
Do not sell a useful exhibit simply to clear land before you have the next design available.
Once the advanced objectives are complete, the museum receives its fourth star.
5 Stars — Reach Funfair Enlightenment 19 and Build Reason’s Edge
The final chapter combines a major construction project with high museum development targets.
Its principal objective group is Ride of Your Life, while Late & Great adds the remaining Angus Gearbox expedition tasks.
These objectives can be completed alongside one another. Begin the expeditions as soon as the necessary locations become available instead of waiting for Museum Level 25.
Ride of Your Life Requirements
You must:
- Reach Funfair Enlightenment Level 19.
- Have 5 guests with at least 1,250 Buzz.
- Reach Museum Level 25.
- Build Reason’s Edge.
The accompanying Late & Great objectives require:
- Complete an expedition to the Invention Centre.
- Find and display Angus Gearbox.
How to Reach Funfair Enlightenment Level 19
The final chapter raises the Funfair Enlightenment target to Level 19, but the progression still depends on earning additional Ribbons.
At this stage, inspect the Funfair exhibits already operating in your museum. Some may have one or two Ribbons awarded while other conditions remain incomplete.
Prioritize attractions with achievable remaining awards and keep the museum running until the Department of Amusement completes its inspections.
If your current collection has few unfinished Ribbon opportunities, develop other Funfair attractions rather than repeatedly working toward awards that have already been earned.
Continue the Invention Centre and remaining Gearbox expeditions while these inspections take place. The objective only requires you to reach the specified Enlightenment Level; it does not require every Funfair exhibit to earn every possible Ribbon.
For difficult Ribbon conditions, use the Funfair Ribbon walkthrough.
Complete the Invention Centre Expedition
The Late & Great storyline directs you to the Invention Centre to recover Angus Gearbox.
Prepare the required expedition team, complete the destination, and collect the returned exhibit.
The objective requires Angus Gearbox to be displayed, so recovering the item without placing it in the museum is not enough.
If the destination remains locked, inspect the corresponding Gearbox progression and staff requirements before spending money on unrelated expeditions.
Reason’s Edge and Angus Gearbox are different objectives. Completing the attraction does not automatically complete the Invention Centre requirement.
Reach Museum Level 25
Museum Level 25 depends on the strength of your displayed exhibit collection and staff development, just as the earlier Museum Level targets did.
If you’re below Level 25 after constructing several advanced rides, check for unplaced expedition rewards, available exhibit upgrades, and staff ready for promotion before purchasing more land.
Museum Level and Funfair Enlightenment are separate objectives. Improving your overall collection can help the former, while Funfair Enlightenment requires continued Ribbon progress.
Check which counter is still incomplete before spending money or assigning additional staff.
Build Reason’s Edge
The final major attraction is Reason’s Edge.
Its Blueprint becomes available through the advanced Gearbox expedition progression. Once recovered, select the design and prepare an outdoor area large enough for construction.
The most expensive mistake here is clearing a working section of the museum without checking whether the existing attractions can be relocated.
Before selling anything:
- Check whether the new attraction fits on an available plot.
- Identify smaller buildings or decorations that can be moved.
- See whether an existing attraction can be relocated while preserving the rest of the museum.
- Keep enough money and available Funfair staff to finish construction.
Moving an established attraction can preserve its usefulness while freeing a better space for Reason’s Edge.
After placing the Blueprint, allow the required staff to complete the construction. The objective needs the finished attraction, not merely an unbuilt design.
Then check Ride of Your Life and Late & Great for any remaining targets.
Five guests reaching 1,250 Buzz can be completed while the museum operates, provided visitors have enough accessible attractions and a satisfactory experience.
If that counter is still incomplete, address visitor access, ride availability, and basic services before commissioning another expensive exhibit.
Riquetti Gardens Five-Star Rewards
Once the required objectives are complete, the museum receives its fifth star.
The rewards are:
- Gearbox Fairgrounds Map
- Gearbox Fairgrounds Mega Map
- $25,000
- 150 Kudosh
Receiving the fifth star completes the main Riquetti Gardens campaign. You can continue expanding the museum, improving the remaining attractions, and collecting optional Gearbox rewards afterward.
Completing Chapter 5 also satisfies Funfair Museum, one of the five Rides & Relics achievements.
If you want to finish the remaining challenges, the Rides & Relics achievements walkthrough covers the required Funfair exhibit variety, Mascot entertainment, 100-Thrill Coaster, and three-Ribbon completion conditions.
