Star Wars Galactic Racer Tales of Podracing: All 12 Events
Complete all 12 Tales of Podracing events in order, see which planet each event uses, and finish the two Podracing trophies.
Updated:
Quick Answer
There are 12 Tales of Podracing events.
The sequence starts with Memories of Mos Espa on Tatooine and ends with The Harder They Fall, also on Tatooine. The full set uses only three planets: Tatooine, Lantaana, and Ando Prime, with four Tales on each.
Completing the first event unlocks Now This is Podracing!. Completing all 12 unlocks Hail to the Winner, Sebulba.
Watch event 10, Two Birds With One Shockwave, more carefully than a normal race: save the Shockwave until three racers are close enough to be caught together.
Tales of Podracing is a separate 12-event sequence built around Podracing history, familiar racers, and increasingly specific race situations. It is not necessary to treat every event like an Arcade Gold attempt. For full completion, the important job is to finish the entire sequence and avoid wasting repeated runs on the events that ask for more than simply reaching the end.
The route moves between Tatooine, Lantaana, and Ando Prime rather than visiting every Campaign planet. Knowing the order is useful because later Tales return to the same environments with different race setups and hazards.
All 12 Tales of Podracing Events in Order
| # | Tales of Podracing Event | Planet |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Memories of Mos Espa | Tatooine |
| 2 | Legends of Speed | Lantaana |
| 3 | Hot Shot | Ando Prime |
| 4 | Day of the Flame Vents | Tatooine |
| 5 | Whatever it Takes | Lantaana |
| 6 | Other Weapons Too | Ando Prime |
| 7 | Fear and Respect | Ando Prime |
| 8 | Explosive Inspiration | Lantaana |
| 9 | A Pretender Approaches | Tatooine |
| 10 | Two Birds With One Shockwave | Lantaana |
| 11 | The More They Come | Ando Prime |
| 12 | The Harder They Fall | Tatooine |
The distribution is evenly split: four events on Tatooine, four on Lantaana, and four on Ando Prime.
You do not need to memorize that pattern before starting. What matters more is recognizing the environmental problem when a familiar planet returns. A route that felt easy earlier can become much less forgiving when speed, hazards, and the event’s specific demand are combined.
Event 1: Memories of Mos Espa
Memories of Mos Espa is the opening Tales event and takes place on Tatooine.
Finishing this first event is enough for Now This is Podracing!. There is no need to complete the other 11 before that achievement or trophy can unlock.
Afterward, continue through the Tales sequence rather than switching to Arcade and expecting its Podracing events to count toward the same completion set.
Events 2–3: Lantaana and Ando Prime
Legends of Speed moves the sequence to Lantaana, followed by Hot Shot on Ando Prime.
These early events are a good point to start paying attention to the course rather than only the Podracer. Podracing is fast enough that an unfamiliar shortcut can save more time than trying to force extra speed through every corner.
When a route is still unfamiliar:
- follow opponents through alternate lines before committing to a risky shortcut;
- keep enough control to survive the landing after a jump;
- avoid using every boost as soon as it becomes available;
- learn which hazards are actually blocking the fastest line.
Podracers can take damage from collisions, so repeatedly clipping the same obstacle is not harmless just because the first impact was survivable.
Event 4: Day of the Flame Vents
Day of the Flame Vents returns to Tatooine.
At this point, environmental hazards deserve as much attention as raw speed. Do not enter a dangerous section simply because the vehicle still has boost available. Carrying speed into the wrong line can lose more time than releasing the throttle early enough to set up the next section properly.
The Tales sequence keeps revisiting familiar planets, so learning where a track punishes overcommitting becomes useful again later.
Events 5–6: Whatever it Takes and Other Weapons Too
The next pair is:
- Whatever it Takes — Lantaana;
- Other Weapons Too — Ando Prime.
By this point, avoid treating takedowns and contact as free speed. Podracing allows aggressive racing, but damaging the vehicle just to remove one opponent can leave the rest of the event harder than necessary.
If the same event keeps failing at the same corner or hazard, change the line before changing how aggressively the Podracer is driven.
Event 7: Fear and Respect
Fear and Respect is the second consecutive Ando Prime Tale.
Cold conditions make Ando Prime different from the hotter courses. The temptation is to use the cooler environment to push harder, but freezing can make steering increasingly difficult if the vehicle stays cold for too long.
When control begins to deteriorate, recovering the vehicle matters more than holding one more burst of speed through a technical section.
Event 8: Explosive Inspiration
Explosive Inspiration moves back to Lantaana.
The name is a useful warning that the later half of the Tales sequence should not be approached as twelve copies of the same normal race. From here onward, pay attention to what the event is asking you to do rather than assuming a fast finish is the only condition that matters.
That becomes especially important two events later.
Event 9: A Pretender Approaches
A Pretender Approaches is the third Tatooine event.
By event 9, finishing the set efficiently is more valuable than experimenting with every possible line. Use the shortcuts already understood, protect the vehicle through crowded sections, and save risky attacks for situations where they actually help complete the event.
The next Tale is the one where attack timing matters much more.
Event 10: Two Birds With One Shockwave
Two Birds With One Shockwave takes place on Lantaana.
The important setup is to catch three racers with one Shockwave. Do not fire the Shockwave at the first opponent that enters range.
The easiest opportunity comes from staying close enough to the pack for several racers to overlap within the same attack window.
A practical approach is:
- avoid escaping too far into first before the opportunity appears;
- let a group form in a section where their lines converge;
- keep the Shockwave available instead of spending it on one target;
- trigger it when three racers are close enough to be caught together.
If the group spreads out, forcing the attack usually wastes the attempt. Wait for the next section where the field compresses.
This is one of the clearest cases in the Tales sequence where racing faster is not automatically the same thing as completing the event cleanly.
Event 11: The More They Come
The More They Come moves back to Ando Prime.
At this stage, the main advantage is familiarity. It is the fourth Ando Prime event in the full set, so environmental control and known track lines should no longer be completely new.
Do not throw that advantage away by chasing every opponent through an unfamiliar alternate line. A stable route that reaches the end is more useful than adding another crash while trying to copy an aggressive overtake.
Event 12: The Harder They Fall
The sequence ends with The Harder They Fall on Tatooine.
This is the fourth Tatooine event and the final Tale needed for full Tales of Podracing completion.
There is no thirteenth event to search for after it. Once The Harder They Fall is complete, all 12 named Tales have been cleared.
For players working toward every achievement or trophy, this is the finishing point for Hail to the Winner, Sebulba.
Which Tales Are on Each Planet?
The full sequence uses three planets:
- Tatooine: Memories of Mos Espa, Day of the Flame Vents, A Pretender Approaches, The Harder They Fall;
- Lantaana: Legends of Speed, Whatever it Takes, Explosive Inspiration, Two Birds With One Shockwave;
- Ando Prime: Hot Shot, Other Weapons Too, Fear and Respect, The More They Come.
The repeated planets are useful rather than redundant. Later events return to conditions already seen earlier, so track knowledge carries forward even when the event itself changes.
Tales of Podracing vs. Arcade Podracing
Do not use the Arcade event list as a checklist for Tales completion.
Arcade contains its own Podracing events and preset race setups. Tales of Podracing has the separate 12-event sequence listed above.
That matters for the completion trophies: finishing unrelated Arcade Podraces does not replace one of the named Tales events.
If the goal is Arcade medal completion instead, the Achievements and Trophies Guide covers the separate Arcade Gold requirements.
Now This is Podracing! and Hail to the Winner, Sebulba
Tales of Podracing is tied to two completion milestones:
- Now This is Podracing! — complete the first Tales of Podracing event;
- Hail to the Winner, Sebulba — complete all Tales of Podracing events.
The first should arrive after Memories of Mos Espa.
The second requires the entire sequence through The Harder They Fall. If the final trophy has not unlocked, compare the completed Tales list against all 12 names above rather than replaying Arcade Podracing events.
The rest of the 49 achievements and 50 PS5 trophies are covered in the Achievements and Trophies Guide.
If the Podracer needed for the main story and the final Kestar Championship is what you are looking for instead, follow the Campaign Guide.
