Risk of Rain 2 Hallowed Concepts: All 34 New Achievements

Quick Answer

Work through the 34 new achievements by Survivor and completion condition. Rescue Acolyte before attempting her character challenges, prioritize Dying to Meet You while its fourth-Teleporter deadline is still achievable, and save the hidden-boss and 10-Hex runs for stronger builds. Check off an achievement only after it unlocks in-game.

Risk of Rain 2 added 34 achievements on October 8, 2026, alongside Hallowed Concepts. Of these, 28 are associated with the DLC and six belong to the accompanying free update.

The collection includes 18 Survivor-specific skin challenges, seven Enforcer and Acolyte skill challenges, six free update skill unlocks, Acolyte’s initial rescue, and two Monsoon Mastery achievements.

A completed encounter does not automatically clear every achievement related to it. The selected Survivor, Teleporter count, active difficulty, and inventory at the end of a run can each determine whether a particular unlock is awarded.

Which Achievements Should You Complete First?

The most efficient order depends on which objectives can be combined and which become impossible after a certain point in the run.

Start with the time-limited challenges. Dying to Meet You has a strict Teleporter deadline, so you cannot postpone it until your build becomes powerful enough to handle everything comfortably. By contrast, Memento Mori allows more preparation, and Against All Odds checks whether you still hold enough Hexes when the run ends.

Acolyte also has to be rescued before her own achievements become available. That makes A Broken Ritual an important early objective if you intend to finish all 34.

The following sequence avoids spending long runs on conditions that could have been completed earlier.

1. Combine A Broken Ritual With an Early Soulbound Threshold Clear

The six Dying to Meet You achievements require completing Soulbound Threshold before the fourth Teleporter event as Commando, Huntress, Acrid, Seeker, CHEF, or Enforcer.

Those runs create a useful opportunity to complete A Broken Ritual at the same time.

If Acolyte is still locked, use one of the six eligible Survivors for your first early Soulbound Threshold attempt. Complete the encounter within the deadline, then revive Acolyte before leaving.

The early-clear achievement and A Broken Ritual have different completion conditions, so both actions must succeed.

The Acolyte unlock walkthrough explains how to reach Soulbound Threshold and perform the rescue. The Hallowed Concepts skin unlocks cover the deadline and character requirements for Dying to Meet You.

Once Acolyte is unlocked, you can attempt her skill challenges, Memento Mori skin, and Monsoon Mastery achievement in later runs.

2. Use Longer Runs for Memento Mori and Against All Odds

The other two skin groups require different preparation and do not share the fourth-Teleporter deadline.

Memento Mori requires defeating the encounter beyond the hidden door in Soulbound Threshold. You need the Reincarnation Page and enough equipment to survive both the ordinary boss rush and the additional fight. Because the achievement is character-specific, the hidden encounter must be completed separately for Bandit, Engineer, Artificer, REX, Captain, and Acolyte.

Against All Odds requires finishing a run while carrying at least 10 Hexes. Its six eligible Survivors are MUL-T, Mercenary, Loader, Railgunner, Void Fiend, and False Son.

For the Hex challenges, developing a survivable build before accumulating severe penalties is generally more useful than taking every available Hex immediately. The total at the ending matters: cleansing below ten before finishing can invalidate the attempt.

The skin unlock conditions cover obtaining Reincarnation, opening the hidden door, collecting Hexes, and choosing an ending for Against All Odds.

These two groups are better suited to planned runs than opportunistic attempts with an unfinished build.

3. Complete Enforcer and Acolyte Skills Around Their Required Encounters

Enforcer’s four skill achievements do not all need separate long runs.

Safe and Sound can be attempted during a suitable Teleporter event. If a Wandering Vagrant appears, you may also have an opportunity to complete +PARRY; if the boss is a Stone Titan, the same run can present an opportunity for Indomitable.

Burning Lead requires a more specific setup because you must land 24 hits on a Magma Worm within 12 seconds. Attack speed and a reliable firing position matter more than immediately killing the boss.

Acolyte’s three challenges use different parts of her combat kit:

  • Bloodbath: Kill 15 enemies during one Anima Harvester transformation.
  • Not Even Close: Keep an Elder Lemurian airborne for 11 seconds.
  • Hit List: Land Sacrifice killing blows against 20 different monster types in a single run.

Bloodbath and Not Even Close are focused encounters. Hit List benefits from visiting more environments because its progress depends on distinct monster types rather than repeatedly killing the same enemy.

An Elder Lemurian encountered during a Hit List attempt can also serve as the target for Not Even Close. Complete the airborne requirement before attempting to finish that monster with Sacrifice.

The Enforcer and Acolyte alternate skill unlocks cover the specific setups, ability timing, and equipment for all seven challenges.

4. Separate the Six Free Update Skills by Their Completion Conditions

The accompanying free update added one skill challenge each for Commando, Huntress, Engineer, Artificer, REX, and Acrid. These can be completed without purchasing Hallowed Concepts.

Three of them do not require winning the run:

  • Huntress: Tomb Raider — Obtain an Artifact from Bulwark’s Ambry within 25 minutes.
  • Engineer: Mad Scientist — Repair an Equipment Drone with an Escape Pod’s Fuel Array.
  • Artificer: One Giant Leap — Reach Mithrix without activating a moon pillar.

The other three require a successful final-boss or game-ending condition:

  • Commando: Retribution — Defeat the final boss after earning 8 Karma.
  • REX: Invasive Growth — Beat the game with five different Lunar items.
  • Acrid: Miracle — Sequence items at least once before winning.

Huntress’s challenge is especially sensitive to time. Commando and REX instead need their conditions prepared before the ending, while Acrid needs a successful run after interacting with a Shrine of Order.

The six free update skill unlocks explain the individual routes and how to avoid missing the qualifying action.

5. Complete Enforcer and Acolyte Mastery on Monsoon

Enforcer: Mastery and Acolyte: Mastery require beating the game or obliterating on Monsoon.

They are separate achievements, and each must be completed while playing the named Survivor.

Enforcer is available immediately with Hallowed Concepts. Acolyte must first be unlocked through A Broken Ritual.

You can choose between the normal victory route and obliteration according to which ending is more manageable for your Survivor and build. The difficulty must remain Monsoon; a successful run on Rainstorm or Drizzle does not meet the requirement.

For Acolyte, a longer Monsoon run may also provide opportunities to complete an unfinished skill challenge, but adding a difficult objective is not worth jeopardizing a run that is already close to Mastery.

Which Achievements Can Be Earned in the Same Run?

Combining objectives is useful when they share a Survivor, destination, or encounter. It becomes counterproductive when one challenge requires actions that interfere with the other.

The most practical combinations are:

  • Dying to Meet You + A Broken Ritual: Finish Soulbound Threshold early with an eligible Survivor, then revive Acolyte before leaving.
  • Enforcer: Safe and Sound + a boss-specific skill: Block attacks during the Teleporter event, then attempt +PARRY or Indomitable if the relevant boss appears.
  • Acolyte: Not Even Close + Hit List: Keep an Elder Lemurian airborne first, then use Sacrifice for the qualifying killing blow.
  • Acolyte: Bloodbath + Hit List: Complete the transformation multikill while continuing a run that visits enough stages for additional monster types.

Some combinations are not available because the required Survivors differ. For example, Enforcer’s Monsoon Mastery cannot complete MUL-T’s Against All Odds achievement, even if the run ends with ten Hexes.

Likewise, finishing the Reincarnation hidden boss with one Survivor does not count toward another character’s Memento Mori achievement.

Choose the conditions you can realistically satisfy together, rather than extending every run to pursue unrelated achievements.

Check Achievement Completion Before Changing Survivors

After completing a challenge, check whether the achievement notification appeared for your selected Survivor.

This matters particularly in multiplayer, where several players can participate in the same encounter while performing different actions. A teammate’s successful parry, killing blow, or character-specific completion does not establish that your own achievement was awarded.

Before ending a run, confirm any conditions that must still be active:

  • Correct Survivor: The character named in the achievement is selected.
  • Correct difficulty: Monsoon is active when attempting Mastery.
  • Required inventory: Ten Hexes or five different Lunar items are still held when needed.
  • Required action: Sequencing, rescuing Acolyte, or another specific interaction has actually occurred.
  • Required timing: A timed achievement was completed before its deadline.

Once the achievement unlocks, mark its entry in the checklist.

Completing all 34 entries means you have finished the achievements introduced alongside Hallowed Concepts, including the six free update skill challenges.
