1 Castle Flags (Past): The Gatekeeper Layer
Hubble’s Past is a “flag-first” chapter. The castle is not just flavor: it’s the trigger stack for the entire Conjuratorium sequence. If anything feels blocked later, assume you missed a dialogue completion loop here.
Mandatory Flag Pair
- Queen: keep talking until she repeats / dismisses you.
- Captain/Commander: confirm the “next objective” line triggers.
Routing Mindset
Don’t “free explore” hoping to stumble into the Conjuratorium door. It’s faster to re-trigger flags than to wander through every staircase twice.
Quick test: if you can’t enter something that “should be open,” go back to the castle and talk to the flag NPCs again. 80% of blockers resolve instantly.
🧭 Decision Module: Conjuratorium Entry Strategy
You’re choosing between stability (low backtrack risk) and speed (fast but easier to miss a trigger). Pick one approach and commit — mixed routing is where most “I’m lost” reports come from.
Plan A: Safe & Systematic
Recommended- Castle flags first, then underground access.
- When entering Conjuratorium, identify the central lift hub immediately.
- Clear one floor at a time; always return to hub before switching.
Plan B: Fast & Direct
Speedrun- Beeline: flags → entry → hub → boss route.
- Skip side rooms unless they’re on the direct corridor.
- If you hit a locked door, don’t roam: go re-check flags.
Micro Rules (Prevents Loops)
2 Underground → Grand Conjuratorium: Clean Routing
Once the entry chain is live, the Conjuratorium becomes a navigation problem: multiple floors, repeated corridors, and “looks-the-same” rooms. Your job is to keep routing stable.
Practical Navigation
- Find the central lift hub and memorize it visually.
- Clear one floor per trip; return to hub before changing floors.
- If you’re circling, you’re not using the hub enough.
Combat Note (Light)
Encounters lean magical. If your party feels fragile, slow down and stabilize after fights — this dungeon punishes “walk in at half HP” more than it rewards speed.
3 Boss & Resolution: Don’t Skip the Confirm
The boss is the mechanical endpoint — but the chapter often “fails to progress” because players leave before the game logs the resolution state. Treat the post-boss moment as a required checkpoint.
4 Present Day: Loot + Closure Sweep
Hubble’s Present timeline is a reward pass: the “war” context shifts, NPCs change, and the castle has better loot density than it looks. Even though there are no tablets here, you can still miss value.
Quick Sweep
- Castle treasury / storage rooms for gear + medals.
- Re-check key NPCs for post-resolution reward dialogue.
- If something feels unchanged, go back to the post-boss chamber.
If you’re rushing
You can speedrun this chapter, but don’t skip the resolution confirm — that’s the single biggest cause of “timeline didn’t update” reports.
