How to Get Perfect Animon
A practical LumenTale guide explaining how to build perfect Animon with IVs, Mystical Relic, Hidden Type, Prismatype, Appendix Q, quirks, Mimma Stone, Anispace training, and Great Success crafting.
Updated:
Quick Answer
To build a perfect Animon, fix it in layers: role first, then IVs, Hidden Type, quirk, and moves. Use Mystical Relic to inherit strong IVs, food or Anispace training to patch missing values, Prismatype to fix Hidden Type, Appendix Q to change quirk, and Mimma Stone to move skills. For rare crafting, swap to the right character and save before crafting so you can fish for Great Success.
What “Perfect Animon” Means
A perfect Animon is not just a high-level Animon.
For serious team building, you are trying to control several different layers:
| Layer | What you are fixing | Main tool |
|---|---|---|
| Role | What the Animon should do in battle | Team planning, AniWiki |
| IVs | HP, Attack, Defense, Agility, Special Attack, Special Defense | Mystical Relic, food, Anispace training |
| Luck | Luck value that does not carry through Mystical Relic | Food or other confirmed stat sources |
| Affection | Extra stat value from bond progress | Food and battles |
| Hidden Type | The hidden attribute you want | Natural catch or Prismatype |
| Quirk | Passive-style build identity | Appendix Q |
| Moves | Attacks and utility skills | Mimma Stone / Technique Stones |
The mistake is trying to fix all of these at once. Decide the role first, then spend rare items only after you know the Animon is staying on your team.
How IVs Work
IVs are shown as Roman numerals on an Animon’s stat screen.
The range goes from:
- N = none
- I = 1
- II = 2
- all the way up to
- X = 10
For a true long-term build, you usually want X in the stats that matter for that Animon’s role.
| Role | Most important stats |
|---|---|
| Physical attacker | Attack, Agility, HP or Defense |
| Special attacker | Special Attack, Agility, HP or Special Defense |
| Tank | HP, Defense, Special Defense |
| Support | Agility, HP, Defense, Special Defense |
| Mixed attacker | Attack, Special Attack, Agility |
| Completionist perfect | Every important stat, depending on the build |
Method 1: Use Mystical Relic
Mystical Relic is the strongest IV tool.
It lets your target Animon inherit the best IVs from the Animon you feed into the process. This is how you turn duplicates and unwanted catches into long-term value.
The process works like this:
- Open Mystical Relic.
- Pick the Animon you want to improve.
- Choose fodder Animon with strong IVs.
- Confirm the process.
- The target inherits the best IV values from the selected Animon.
- If the target was evolved, it returns to its first stage.
- The target resets to level 1.
- The selected fodder Animon are consumed.
How to Get Mystical Relic
Mystical Relic is found in the Area 1 cave.
Use this route:
- Go to Area 1.
- Enter the cave route on the top-left side of the area.
- Go past the Electric fence section.
- Use the Water Holoken bubble to cross the gap.
- Continue through the cave and claim the Mystical Relic.
Method 2: Use Food and Anispace Training
Food and Anispace training are safer ways to patch missing values after the main IV work.
Some food items increase innate stats, so they can help fix IV gaps without sacrificing Animon. Anispace furniture can also train multiple Animon over time.
Use food or Anispace when:
- the target is already close to perfect;
- you only need to fix one or two values;
- you do not want to sacrifice more fodder Animon;
- you are training multiple long-term projects in the background.
Luck and Affection
Luck and Affection are separate from the main Mystical Relic IV inheritance process.
Luck does not carry over through Mystical Relic, so treat it as a separate layer to fix after IVs. Affection can also increase an Animon’s stat value, but do not spend rare food blindly on temporary Animon.
| Layer | Practical rule |
|---|---|
| Luck | Fix after Mystical Relic, because it does not carry over through the relic process |
| Affection with food | Use when you have spare ingredients and the Animon is staying on your team |
| Affection through battles | Let long-term team members build it naturally while you play |
| Serious investment | Save rare food for Animon you actually plan to keep |
Exact Affection breakpoints, caps, food efficiency, and battle gain values still need in-game confirmation. Until you have those numbers, treat Affection as a finishing layer rather than the first thing you spend rare resources on.
Hidden Type Is Worth Checking
Hidden Type is easy to miss because not every Animon naturally has it.
A caught Animon can have a Hidden Type naturally, but the chance is low. If you see the double-ring symbol during an encounter, it means you have already caught that Animon before, but it can still be worth checking because another copy may have a Hidden Type.
Hidden Type can matter for three big reasons:
| Reason | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Damage boost | Hidden Type can give strong extra STAB value |
| Evolution requirement | Some Animon may need Hidden Type before they can evolve |
| Build identity | A good Hidden Type can change how the Animon fits your team |
Change Hidden Type with Prismatype
If you do not want to grind rare catches forever, use Prismatype to grant an Animon one of its possible Hidden Types directly.
Prismatype is important for:
- fixing a late-game build;
- activating a Hidden Type evolution requirement;
- avoiding long natural Hidden Type farming;
- making strong Animon fit your team better.
Prismatype Recipe
Craft Prismatype from a fountain / crafting menu.
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Plastic | 10 |
| Anivite EX | 2 |
| Quartz | 30 |
When crafting Prismatype, switch to Natada if possible. She has the best success rate for this kind of Animon-related item. If the success rate goes above 100%, the extra success chance can help trigger Great Success, giving you an extra item for free.
Change Quirk with Appendix Q
Use Appendix Q to change an Animon’s quirk or ability.
This is a serious build item, not something to spend casually. Use it only after you already know the Animon’s role, IV spread, Hidden Type plan, and move setup.
Appendix Q Recipe
Craft Appendix Q from a fountain / crafting menu.
| Material | Amount |
|---|---|
| Glass | 10 |
| Anivite EX | 2 |
| Diamond | 1 |
When crafting Appendix Q, switch to Ales before holding the craft button. Ales can significantly boost the success rate for this recipe. If your success rate goes above 100%, the leftover success chance can roll into Great Success, which can give you a second Appendix Q for free.
Once you craft Appendix Q manually a few times, the recipe can become permanently available in your crafting list. You may also receive Appendix Q from story NPC progression, so check your inventory before spending a Diamond.
How Great Success Works
Crafting success rate matters even when the recipe already shows 100%.
If your selected character pushes the success rate above 100%, the extra success chance can roll into Great Success. For rare build items, that matters because Great Success can give you a second copy for free.
| Item | Best crafter | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Appendix Q | Ales | Better success rate for the quirk-changing recipe |
| Prismatype | Natada | Better success rate for Hidden Type item crafting |
For expensive recipes, use this routine:
- Save your game before crafting.
- Switch to the best crafting character.
- Craft the item.
- If you get Great Success, keep it.
- If you do not and materials are tight, reload and try again.
Material Farming Notes for Build Items
These build items are expensive, so plan the materials before crafting.
| Material | Used for | Best known source |
|---|---|---|
| Anivite EX | Prismatype, Appendix Q | Green crystals; can also be bought from later route shops such as Altipetra on the Mythos side |
| Plastic | Prismatype | Buy from Lumen Club shops |
| Quartz | Prismatype | Green crystals, especially Area 03 cave if you can Break Boulders |
| Glass | Appendix Q | Smash crates/barrels in urban areas, or buy it from Logos route merchants and Lumen Club shops. Save every Glass you find until your Appendix Q projects are done. |
| Diamond | Appendix Q | Save for serious quirk projects; do not waste on temporary Animon |
Use AniWiki Before Teaching Moves
Before spending rare move items, check AniWiki.
With enough research, AniWiki can show:
- moves the Animon can learn;
- moves it does not learn naturally by level;
- quirks;
- base stats;
- Hidden Types;
- evolution chart.
This is especially important before using Mimma Stone, because move transfer items are consumable.
Teach Moves with Mimma Stone
Mimma Stone lets you copy a move from one Animon and turn it into a Technique Stone.
The basic flow is:
- Open the Animon that has the move you want.
- Go to Manage Skills.
- Choose Imprint.
- Imprint the move onto a blank Mimma Stone.
- Use the resulting Technique Stone on the Animon you want to teach.
Technique Stones are consumables, so plan the move first.
Perfect Animon Build Order
Use this order if you want the cleanest process.
| Step | What to do | Main tool |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Choose the Animon and role | AniWiki, team planning |
| 2 | Check IVs | Stat screen |
| 3 | Fix IVs | Mystical Relic, food, Anispace training |
| 4 | Fix Luck and affection if needed | Food, battles |
| 5 | Check Hidden Type | AniWiki / catch data |
| 6 | Fix Hidden Type if needed | Prismatype |
| 7 | Choose the right quirk | Build plan |
| 8 | Fix quirk if needed | Appendix Q |
| 9 | Finalize moves | Mimma Stone / Technique Stones |
| 10 | Finish training | Battles, Anispace |
Common Mistakes
Using Mystical Relic Too Early
Do not use it before you know which Animon you want to keep. The target resets to level 1, and the fodder disappears forever.
Forgetting Luck
Luck does not carry over through Mystical Relic. Fix it after the relic process.
Changing Hidden Type Before Choosing a Build
Do not spend Prismatype until you know the team role you want.
Spending Appendix Q Before the Role Is Clear
Quirk matters, but only after you know what the Animon is supposed to do.
Crafting Rare Items Without the Right Character
Use Ales for Appendix Q and Natada for Prismatype. Save before crafting if the materials are rare.
Wasting Mimma Stones
Imprint only once, check the result, and remember that the final Technique Stone is consumed.
